TASTE: Ekte Geitost is a traditional Norwegian cheese made from the finest Norwegian goat’s milk and cream. It has a strong salty-sweet, slightly tangy caramel fudge taste, with hints of sweetness from the caramelized goat’s milk. If you are new to Norwegian Brown cheese, on a flavour scale, this is at the stronger end.

ABOUT Tine: TINE® SA is Norway's largest producer, distributor and exporter of dairy products with 11,400 members (owners) and 9,000 cooperative farms. The milk farmers who are members and supply the milk, also own TINE. It is the farmers milk deliveries that form the basis for running TINE cooperatively. Their goal being to provide the consumers with food that provides a healthier and positive food experience.

QUALITY: TINE® Ekte Geitost is the brown cheese (brunost) lover’s dream of a brown cheese. All Norwegians know brunost. Wherever in the world you may travel, there is no taste on the globe quite like it. As one of our nation’s most iconic foods, the distinctive caramel flavour and rich tan colour call back to rich and evocative memories of home. Understanding the real Norway isn’t possible until you’ve tried a slice – ask any Norwegian and they’ll tell you. In many ways, it is their national cheese.

INSPIRATION: TINE® Ekte Geitost is suitable for use on bread, crispbread and waffles. It gives a sweet ‘n’ sour taste when used in cooking, and can, for example, be added to sauces and other dishes for flavouring. A fabulous combination with Stockans Oatcakes and topped with honey or strawberry jam from Mrs Bridges.
